Rituals for the Snow Moon vary widely depending on personal beliefs, cultural traditions, and spiritual practices.

Below are rituals you might consider:

Snow Meditation:

  • If you’re in an area that snows during the Snow Moon, consider incorporating the snow into your meditation practice.

  • Find a quiet spot outdoors, preferably under the light of the full moon.

  • Sit or stand comfortably.

  • Close your eye

  • Take slow & deep breaths:  allow the cool, crisp air to invigorate your senses.

  • Visualize:  snowflakes falling gently around you, cleansing and purifying your mind, body, and spirit.

Fire Ceremony:

  • Fire ceremonies are often used in spiritual practices to release what no longer serves us and invite new energy.

  • Build a small fire in a safe and contained outdoor space, such as a fire pit or fireplace.

  • Write down anything you wish to release on separate pieces of paper—negative thoughts, habits, or emotions.

  • Carefully place each paper into fire 🔥

  • Visualize it being transformed & released into the universe.

  • Then, write intentions for the future on another piece of paper

  • Hold it close to your heart

  • Keep future intentions with you at all times

  • Return to stillness & Close eyes again

  • Meditate on the warmth & light of fire 🔥

Moon Bathing:

  • Moon bathing involves intentionally exposing yourself to the full moon’s light to absorb its energy and rejuvenate your spirit.

  • Find a comfortable spot outdoors where you have a clear view of the night sky.

  • Lie down or sit in a relaxed position and gaze up at the moon.

  • Close your eyes and visualize its soft, silvery light enveloping you in a cocoon of healing energy.

  • Allow yourself to bask in the moon’s glow for as long as you feel called to, feeling its calming and revitalizing effects wash over you.

  • The Snow Moon is an excellent time to express gratitude for the blessings in your life and to set intentions for the future.

  • Create a sacred space indoors with candles, crystals, and other meaningful objects.

  • Take a few moments to reflect on all the things you’re grateful for, big & small.

  • Write them down on a piece of paper or speak them aloud, give thanks to the universe for its abundance.

  • Then, write down your intentions for the coming months, focus on what you want to manifest and achieve.

  • Place your gratitude list and intentions in a prominent place where you can see them daily as a reminder of your blessings and goals.
