Prepare yourself for a shift in energy. Every Summer, the Universe slows us down with planetary retrogrades.
Don’t worry, they’re nothing to fear! Each one brings a unique energy to work with in our lives and a new perspective to view our world through.
Saturn Retrograde began in Pisces ♓️ on June 29, 2024, and will last until November 15, 2024.
SATURN 🪐 RETROGRADE IN PISCES ♓️ : HOPE FLOATS
ALL ABOUT SATURN 🪐
Saturn 🪐 is the planet of boundaries, restriction, and no as a full sentence will station retrograde in Pisces on June 29, 2024 resuming forward motion on November 15, 2024.
Remember, there’s nothing to fear about retrograde periods!
Saturn 🪐 (the ultimate planet of responsibility) stations retrograde every year for approximately 5 months 1 so this is familiar energy to all of us.
It’s not necessarily rare news, but it’s an important shift that marks yet another turning point in Saturn’s 🪐cycle around the wheel.
SATURN RETROGRADE IN PISCES
Saturn 🪐entered Pisces ♓️ on March 7, 2023 and will be traversing its watery expanse through early 2026.
Saturn 🪐 cycles are about 29.5 years, meaning the ringed planet hasn’t visited this amorphic, transcendent area of our charts since the mid 1990s.
Saturn 🪐 stations retrograde several times while in Pisces ♓️ and did for the first time last year.
That retrograde, from mid-June to early November of 2023, might have highlighted some themes that will be resurfacing. And while outer planet retrogrades are often most significant for the collective at large, they can also be felt individually.
Collectively, this second Saturn 🪐 retrograde in Pisces ♓️ period is interesting because for the second half of this year, it means Jupiter and Saturn 🪐 will meet in a square.
While this isn’t great news for Jupiter, it’s very helpful for Saturn 🪐. Jupiter gives Saturn 🪐 an optimism to go the distance and faith that even when things get tough, they will ultimately work out in the end.
Saturn 🪐 in Pisces ♓️ connecting with Jupiter in Gemini ♊️ for the second half of 2024 gives us a buoyancy that we might have been lacking previously.
There are still lessons to learn in the Pisces ♓️ area of our chart, but we’re learning our friends can help support us along the way. Rather than just feeling like we’re stuck in a confusing grind - talking it out aids in our hope that we’re sailing in the right direction.
GENERAL TIPS FOR SATURN 🪐 RETROGRADE
Saturn is motivated to summit whatever mountaintop it’s fixated on– so it’s an energy that can bring up shame when we don’t feel like we’ve reached the top/met our goals. Saturn retrograde periods are a great time to review the peaks you’re working towards and adjust what you’re doing on a regular basis to ensure you stay committed to the climb. Rather than feeling defeated, use it as an opportunity to review your playbook.
You can’t work with Saturn without considering boundaries, and Saturn Retrograde asks you to reconsider where you’re drawing lines. Notice what areas of life might need some new structures, and trust that every “no” makes room for a more aligned yes.
Saturn retrograde (especially in Pisces) is concerned with divine timing. This is a far cry from quick energy and instead encourages us to slow down and feel every inch of the process. Notice what has worked out in your life due to patiently going with the flow– and lean into structures that are beginning to feel magically aligned.
Neptune Retrograde began July 1, 2024 also in Pisces ♓️ and wil last until December 15th.
Inquiry 🧐
Have you ever heard the term “the dog days of summer?"
I’ve used it most of my life and was delighted to find out what it actually means yesterday, while flipping through the 2024 Farmer’s Almanac!
I always thought it had something to do with being as lethargic as a dog on a hot summer’s day. 😅😜
But it’s actually a reference to the stars! Specifically, the star Sirius.
The phrase dates back to the Roman Empire and refers to the period from July 3 to August 11 when Sirius rises and sets in conjunction with the sun.
Sirius is the brightest star ⭐️ in the constellation Canis Major, which is Latin for the “greater dog.”
The Romans called this time, “The days of the dog star!” And we’ve adopted it as the “dog days of summer!”
This has significant relevance to the New Moon 🌑 in Cancer ♋️ Cycle we’re about to enter on July 4th or 5th (depending on where you are in the world.)
This New Moon 🌑 is EXACTLY conjunct Sirius.
This means that both luminaries, the Sun ☀️ AND the Moon 🌕 will be perfectly aligned with Sirius at 14 degrees of Cancer ♋️ … carrying the light of this star 🌟 and the significance it holds directly to us.
Sirius is the star of spiritual upliftment and freedom and is often associated with spiritual warriors and teachers, divinely inspired leaders, protection from the spiritual realm (many countries who have aligned their “liberation” days with this period of time).
This is a time that is ripe for divinely inspired new actions that will lead to personal liberation, with lasting results.
The inspired urges will not come from a mental “pros and cons” list, they will be more intuitively guided by your gut, heart and inner impulses.
This is a perfect time for taking action and new beginnings, as all of the personal planets are still direct, and the placement of Sirius are present and indicating fortunate outcomes for new endeavors you begin now.
In these final days of the Gemini ♊️ Lunar Cycle, I invite you to spend some time in reflection about the last 28 days.

What have you learned about yourself?
What obstacles did you face?
Can you mine the challenges for any gifts you’ve received?
The “Saturnian obstacles” we’re facing are working together for our good.
The resolution may not happen right now, but it will eventually be clear.
Sounds like Sirius may be lighting the way for this to happen next. 🌟🌟🌟
Sending you lots of love during these “dog days of summer,” and a happy New Moon 🌑 in Cancer ♋️ to you.
All my best,
Rhoni
